Song of the Day “Freedom for the Free”

Here’s a new song I wrote yesterday. Let me know what you think and / or come out and hear it tonight at Ballad Town Billiards 🙂

Freedom for the Free

© Andy Harrison 2012

If life worked at a convenience store selling possibilities

Like an old man behind a counter selling you your reality

You might ask him where to find something

Which isle to go down

He might point you in a direction

Show you what could be found

Chorus:

We’ve got happiness and apocalypse

We’ve got fear and grace

And right down there on isle 3

Confusion by the case

Pick out anything you want

But you might choose carefully

We’ve got slavery for the blamer

We’ve got freedom for the free

If life worked at a convenience store selling possibilities

Stocking shelves with new items

While you looked for what you need

You might ask him what is selling most

To help you to decide

He might say what it is you believe the most

Is what you’re gonna buy

Chorus 2:

We’ve got happiness and apocalypse

Passion and bad advice

We’ve got heaven here on special

And hell at the same price

Whatever it is that you choose

That’s alright with me

We’ve got slavery for the blamer

We’ve got freedom for the free

Bridge:

And some things cost a little more but it’s all the same

Everyone finds what they look for- the reason why you came

Chorus 1

Chorus 2
